The headers on the columns in the opinions chart have the following meanings.

R: Sequential number assigned by the Reporter of Decisions after the particular case was issued.

Date: Date the case was decided (cases are posted latest to earliest).

Docket: Docket number of the case.

Name: Parties to the case.

Revised: Link to revisions in the electronic version of a slip opinion.

J: The Justice who wrote the principal opinion in the case, or an unsigned per curiam opinion or decree:

Citation: The permanent citation of the case in forthcoming preliminary prints and bound volumes of the United States Reports. If the paginated version of the opinion is not yet available and posted on the website, the information listed corresponds to the United States Reports volume and preliminary print part number in which the case will appear once published.

Reporter’s Note: Starting with opinions issued in the 2021 Term, the Court’s Reporter of Decisions will append the following note to revised opinions and update the note as necessary as the publication process proceeds: “The attached opinion has been revised to reflect the usual publication and citation style of the United States Reports.
