Scott Harris named Clerk of the Supreme Court of the U.S.
On June 11, 2013, Chief Justice John G. Roberts, Jr. announced the appointment of U. S. District Judge John D. Bates as the Director of the Administrative Office of the U. S. Courts.
The Court has adopted a revised version of the Rules of the Court to take effect July 1, 2013.

2012 Chief Justice's Year-End Report on the Federal Judiciary (PDF)
Beginning with October Term 2012, the regularly scheduled Order Lists of the Supreme Court of the United States will be released by the Court at 9:30 a.m. rather than at 10 a.m. as had been the previous practice.
The Supreme Court will launch new Website capabilities on June 1, 2012 to improve the mobile device user experience. The Court’s Website has always supported a variety of web browsers, but it will now detect the mobile device being used and will automatically adjust the display based on the screen size and orientation. This Website enhancement will make the Court’s site easier to read on a mobile device and improve user navigation on the site.

A new exhibit titled Court and Country in Transition: The Edward D. White Court has been installed on the ground floor of the building. The exhibit explores issues before the Court and the Nation from 1910-1921, a decade of change across America. To learn more about this exhibit and others, click here.
